Fontys Accommodation

To enter the Netherlands for study purposes, people from most countries need a visa. This requirement does not apply to students from certain countries. Please inquire about it at your nearest Dutch embassy or consulate.

If you will be staying for longer than three months, you have to apply for an 'Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf' MVV. (This requirement does not apply to residents of the following countries: a member state of the EU or EEA - i.e. Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein-, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Switzerland or Monaco). The MVV have to be obtained in advance at a Netherlands embassy or consulate. In some cases Fontys University can support a group of students to apply for MVV.
